Meet the Teacher!

Mrs. Rebecca Chagas (Mrs. C)

Thanks for visiting! My name is Rebecca Chagas and I am excited to return to St. Norbert this year for my 2nd year! Teaching is my passion career that I found after managing in hospitality for some years. I have an educational background in marketing & management (BA), biology & chemistry (BS), and elementary education (MAT). When I am not helping grow our future leaders at St. Norbert, you can find me at spending time with my two children, husband, and two fur babies. I speak conversational Portuguese, love to be outside biking or running, reading a good book, or watching my kiddos find their own passions in their various activities.

My door is always open. I believe you cannot educate solely at home or school. The village we create at St. Norbert is one of community where we grow and move forward together with compassion by helping and listening to each other. Questions, feedback, and conversation are always welcome!

I look forward to a FANTASTIC year of growth, fun, learning, and compassion!

3rd Grade Homework:

Homework is sent home as a packet weekly, on Mondays, and is due the following Monday.

All homework should be completed independently with minimal help. I want parents to be a part of homework but I also want to see what the students know, so I ask that you guide them with help but let them grow in their learning in productive struggle. Students have time for in-class help daily as well.
