Welcome to Pre-K 4!
Welcome to Preschool! I’m looking forward to a very fun and successful school year. We have so many engaging learning activities, field trips and activities planned for the school year. I will write weekly emails giving an overview of the week to keep everyone up to date on what’s going on in the classroom. Every month you will receive a detailed calendar of our daily activities. In addition, I will post daily photos of our fun adventures. I’m looking forward to making this the best year yet! Meet Mrs. Oetking!
Hi! My name is Lisa Oetking, and I have been teaching at St. Norbert since the summer of 2007. I am also the Director of our preschool program. I graduated from Bradley University with an Early Childhood degree in 2007. A few years later, I completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University. My experiences at both universities prepared me to be the best role-model I can be to young children.
In my free time, I love to travel, hang out with friends and family, go on runs, try new restaurants and decorate my house. My husband and I recently moved from the city to Northbrook. It’s so nice to move to a town where I feel at home.
The St. Norbert community is truly a second family to me, and I feel so incredibly blessed to work with such caring and supportive faculty, families and students. One of my favorite memories at St. Norbert was when I got married here in the summer of 2019 and all of my students came to the church. The picture of my husband, students and me is one I will cherish forever. St. Norbert School is a very special place that I feel so honored to be a part of. Please never hesitate to reach out to me, I’d love to get to know all of the families with preschool children in our program. I’m looking forward to a fun and successful school year.
